Lady Gaga parts ways with star creative director Laurieann Gibson after 'heated argument'

She was instrumental in the stellar rise of Lady Gaga.
But, despite being long time friends and colleagues, Gaga has reportedly fired her choreographer and creative director, LaurieAnn Gibson.

According to MediaTakeOut.com, the pop star severed the relationship after a 'bitter fight.'

So solid has their working relationship been that one of Ms Gibson's catchphrases is 'I created Lady Gaga,' after the 42-year-old Canadian helped formulate the singer's world-famous image. She oversaw the dancing on 13 of Gaga's hit single music videos.

The hip hop site reports that Ms Gibson, who has recently landed her own reality TV show, The Dance Scene, has developed a diva streak. An insider told the site: 'Laurieann is a bit of a diva, but she had her ego under control - not anymore.'
According to the site, the dancer, famous for her starring role in MTV's Making the Band, publicly admitted being inspired by Madonna's style, basing her client's look on the singer.

Gaga, the site said, has been fighting Madonna comparisons for years - and the heated argument unfolded when Ms Gibson learnt that the Born This Way star was considering dropping her.
An insider told the site: 'A lot of things were said, and it was very heated. Laurieann ended up hanging up [on Lady Gaga] and saying that she was suing.'
New York Magazine's The Cut says the friendship and working dynamic was also strained by Ms Gibson's opinions of some of Gaga's music videos.

The magazine says she felt particularly strongly about the blasphemous religious idolatry used in the recent Judas video which she co-directed - a public backlash to which may have confirmed Ms Gibson's pre-emptive worries.

The star choreographer, whose life has been the subject of a film, Honey, has also worked with Diddy and Keri Hilson and has acted as a judge for a host of dancing and talent TV shows.
Gaga's other creatives seem to be safe, for now - Nicola Formichetti, Eli Sudbrack and Christophe Hamaide Pierson have joined the singer to transform an entire floor of Barneys New York department store for the holiday season.
